Take your kids to Pantry Cafe in Dubai this January and they’ll walk away with a home-grown garden kit with everything they need to start their own garden pot.
Pantry Cafe, a home-grown concept with locations in Business Bay and Al Wasl Square, is handing out the home gardening kits to encourage children to eat healthy food. The cafe’s owners say gardening gives kids an opportunity to observe, experiment and learn. By involving kids in growing their own food, they say, kids will be encouraged to eat more fruits and vegetables and to have more interest in healthy eating.
The garden kits are seed packets that come with soil and step by step instructions on how to plant and grow the seeds. They will be given to all children who dine in either Pantry Cafe location throughout January.
Pantry Cafe serves a range of tapas, gourmet burgers, steaks, grills, sandwiches, pizzas and more. The cafe supports local farms and uses locally produced organic fruits and vegetables wherever possible.
