It’s all about the game at Hilton Abu Dhabi this month with Italian restaurant Bocca serving up a menu with a difference.

The Italian Game menu has been put together by the restaurant’s executive chef Walter Miculan, who has gone to great lengths to get Abu Dhabi visitors and residents to try something new.

Using game meats exclusively, the menu is available from 7pm daily until March 31. The three-course set menu starters with a roasted tomato soup served with buffalo ricotta and a fried quail egg.

Guests can dine in the true Italian style with a first course before their mains. On the menu is homemade roe deer ravioli topped with hazelnut sauce and a side of porcini mushrooms.

For the mains, guests can opt for the braised venison served with grilled truffle polenta, sautéed parsnips and herbs, or select the grilled ostrich sliced steak topped with cacao powder, served with braised radicchio and jacket potatoes.

Dishes start from Dh55 (excluding taxes). Bocca is open daily from 7pm to 11pm for dinner, and from noon to 3.30pm for lunch from Sunday to Thursday. For bookings and more information, call 02 692 4247 or go here.

“When you sweat a lot, you lose a lot of salt and other electrolytes from your body. If your electrolytes drop enough, you will be at risk of cramping. To prevent salt deficiency, simply add an electrolyte mix to your water.”

“Don’t make the mistake of thinking you can ride as fast or as far during the summer as you do in cooler weather. The heat will make you expend more energy to maintain a speed that might normally be comfortable, so pace yourself when riding during the hotter parts of the day.”
