First look at 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant, which is set to open in the capital on October 8

The pioneers of Japanese food in Spain will take up residence at The Galleria Abu Dhabi

With new restaurants being added to the capital's food menu every other week, it will come as no surprise that there's another set to open in the coming days.

99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant, will officially open for business at Abu Dhabi's The Galleria on Sunday, October 8, and in doing so will join Eat Greek Kouzina as one of the newest Dining Collection restaurants on Al Maryah Island.

The first version of the internationally renowned eatery outside of Spain, 99 Sushi Bar will be of most interest to those with a taste for Japanese cuisine.

The fine-dining restaurant, which is touting "haute cuisine" will be open for lunch and dinner, serving up 99 Sushi Bar's famous crispy tiger prawn tempura dipped in its secret homemade spicy sauce. Head chef Gerado Renart has also added eel, seared foie-gras nigiri and toro sashimi to his menu offering.

"We are thrilled and humbled to be opening our first restaurant outside of Spain and think that Abu Dhabi is the perfect fit for our one-of-a-kind brand," says 99 Sushi Bar's general manager.

"We want our customers to leave having had a pure and honest experience."

99 Sushi Bar is located on the first floor of The Galleria and will be open from 12.30pm to 3.30pm and 7pm to midnight daily. For more, go to www.99sushibar.com
