Bateel, the renowned and award-winning date producer, opened its second store in the United Kingdom on September 29, as part of its expansion programme beyond the GCC. Set within the world-famous department store Selfridges & Co in London, this latest venue will be giving more shoppers in the heart of the capital an authentic taste of Arabia and beyond, offering its home-grown gourmet date products and other delicacies from Italy, such as its unique date balsamic vinegar.
The company, which was founded in Al-Ghat, a small town in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, already has outlets in the United States, Russia, India and throughout the Middle East.
To mark the expansion into Selfridges, which is situated on London’s Oxford Road, Bateel has launched a range of luxury wrapped chocolates unique to the store.
