A refreshing mocktail recipe from one of The Fairmont’s expert mixologists

The Fairmont is launching its new cocktail menu at its outlets around the world, including in the UAE. To celebrate, we went along to its hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai for a masterclass from Erik Lorincz, mixologist at The Savoy, the iconic London hotel that’s currently managed by the Fairmont group.

Sparkling blackberry limeade

Ingredients (makes one drink):

• 1oz (30ml) blackberry syrup

• 1oz (30ml) fresh lime juice

• 4oz (120ml) soda water, chilled

• Thin wheel of lime and/or fresh blackberry, to garnish

Method:

1. Measure the blackberry syrup and lime juice into a pint mixing glass.

2. Fill the glass with ice, cap, and shake vigorously.

3. Add soda to the drink in the mixing tin.

4. Pour the drink into a Collins glass.

5. Top with more ice, if needed.

6. Garnish.
