Next week, Cafe Belge, the Belgian cafe at the Ritz-Carlton, DIFC will host Yves Mattagne, a two Michelin-starred chef from Brussels. Mattagne, from the award-winning Sea Grill in Brussels, will serve a special five-course degustation menu for three nights only. Dishes on the menu include hand peeled shrimps with white asparagus from Malines and sole with oysters, verbena, yuzu mousseline and soy beans. The chef will also have a series of à la carte dishes available to give guests flexibility when sampling his cuisine. Mattagne will be offer dinner service from 6:30pm to 11pm from May 11 — 13. Sushi Art is launching its LA Box on next week, a limited edition sushi box for fashionable sushi lovers. The one-of-a-kind boxes contain 38 pieces of signature classics and new creations that play on the trend of blending new flavours into sushi and sushi rolls. The boxes pay homage to the California style of sushi making. Each box contains three new rolls — the royce roll, the crab hand roll and the sea bream saikyo miso sushi roll. For a limited time only, JF Street Food at the Dubai Marina has launched the shawurger — a hybrid between a shawarma and a hamburger. Available as a chicken shawurger (Dh22) or beef shawurger (Dh24), toppings include lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, French fries, garlic mayo, sumac onion mix and JF’s tahini sauce all on a potato bun.
