Palm Jumeirah has long been known as a feat of architecture, engineering and creativity.

And now fans of the world-famous artificial island will be able to catch a never-before-seen glimpse of the structure from a new attraction.

Nakheel is set to launch The View at The Palm, a 360-degree observation deck offering stunning perspectives of the island, the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai skyline from its 52nd floor vantage point.

The View will open to the public on Wednesday. Nakheel says the attraction is 95 per cent complete, with the rest of its components set to open by October.

How to get there

The View at The Palm is located on the broad “trunk” of the Palm Jumeirah and connected to Nakheel Mall.

Level 2 of the mall will mark the entry point for visitors. It houses a Starbucks for those who want to grab a quick coffee, as well as interactive aquarium tunnels.

From there, an elevator featuring a floor-to-ceiling digital sea, sand and sky experience, will take visitors on a three-minute ascent to the observation deck.

What to expect

The entry of the attraction houses The View Exhibition, a tribute to the Palm Jumeirah, with a timeline and details of how the island was conceptualised and developed.

Visitors can also expect an immersive theatre, which takes them through the history of the island.

The observation deck on Level 52 will offer 360-degree views of the island.

For those looking for a more exclusive experience, there will be a VIP lounge that spans 120 square metres and includes an outdoor terrace. The lounge also offers meal services, and provides audio visual equipment and wireless connectivity.

The observation deck also houses The View gift shop.

Finally, Level 51 will soon be home to world-famous restaurant SushiSamba which will be opening its first UAE outpost in the autumn. The restaurant is famous for its blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisines, and this new branch promises to include a number of signature dishes from its other restaurants found in London, Amsterdam and Las Vegas.

In line with UAE’s precautionary measures and guidelines, The View at The Palm will be integrating Covid-19 regulations including 24-hour sanitisation, temperature checks and screenings at all entrances, as well as social distancing policies.
