Saudi Arabian model Roz stars in new Kat Von D Beauty ad campaign
The model will be the face of True Portrait Foundation in the Middle East
The woman who dubs herself the "first female model from Saudi Arabia" has bagged a big new account, as Roz, who is currently based in Los Angeles, has been announced as the new regional face for Kat Von D Beauty.
The vegan, cruelty-free make-up brand by the famous American model and tattoo artist Kat Von D has chosen the kingdom's platinum-blonde beauty to front its campaign for True Portrait Foundation in the region.
The new products come under the brand's complexion collection and boasts its first medium-coverage formula, coming in 40 shades to suit a variety of skin tones. It is based on a liquid-to-powder formula, featuring Elastic Essence Effect, which ensures the product does not settle into the skin. These are available in Sephora stores across the Middle East.
“Roz is living her childhood dream of being an international model and breaking the boundaries of fashion and beauty in the region," the team at Kat Von D Beauty said in a statement. "Her strong personality speaks the brand’s DNA of bold beauty, passion and perfection."
The boundary-pushing model, who is from Medina and was raised in Riyadh, already has 11 million followers on Instagram and a number of high-profile advertising campaigns under her belt. She has previously worked for Guess and was recently spotted at the launch event for Lady Gaga's new beauty label, Haus Laboratories, which took place in California.
