The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently undergoing a five-day royal tour of Pakistan, and the pair have been paying homage to local dress and designers during their first full day.
The Duchess has already been pictured in a traditional blue shalwar kameez by Catherine Walker, as well as a green tunic coat by the same designer paying tribute to the country's national colour. She has also championed local designers by wearing a scarf from Pakistani brand Satrangi and earrings by Zeen.
However, on Tuesday evening, it was Prince William’s turn to don traditional dress, arriving at the National Monument in Islamabad wearing a sherwani by Pakistani designer Naushemian.
Kate chose a green sequined Jenny Packham dress for the evening’s engagement, paired with earrings by Onitaa, sourced in Pakistan.
The pair arrived for the gala in a traditional rickshaw.
On their first full day in the South Asian country, the British royals have visited the Islamabad Model College for Girls, with the intention of highlighting the importance of education during their visit.
Ahead of their arrival in Pakistan, Kensington Palace said education will be a focus of the trip. The palace announced that the royals plan to "visit programmes which empower young people, and organisations that help ensure they have the best possible start in life.
"Access to quality education, particularly to girls and young women is one of the UK’s top priorities in Pakistan. The Duke and Duchess are looking forward to spending time meeting young Pakistanis, and hearing more about their aspirations for the future."
