In April, during Arabian Travel Market, Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer announced that it had created three digital watch faces inspired by Dubai. The timepieces will be available for purchase from July 12 at the Tag boutique in The Dubai Mall.
The Dubai Special Edition of Tag's Connected Watch Modular 45 model takes on three iterations: the Dubai Classic dial is built around the city-that-never-sleeps reputation, and comes with a metallic finish, ideal for night-time wear, and the shade of blue particular to Dubai’s logos and branding; Dubai Paths has varying colours that reflect a tranquil ocean or desert-like vibe, depending on the time of day; and Dubai Icons has emblems such as the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, a falcon and a peacock to represent each hour on the dial. Each watch is mounted on a brown calfskin strap with rubber lining and an exclusive “Dubai” embossing.
Also, in keeping with the ongoing Dubai Summer Surprises promotion, interested buyers can avail themselves of a “special offer” on the new watches – which usually cost Dh8,000 - between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on July 12.
