Lady Gaga wears Emirati design as she opens up about her Oscars win

The singer sported a beaded Khyeli gown for an appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

For her tremendous awards season, where she's scooped an Academy Award, Golden Globe, Bafta and Grammy, Lady Gaga has worn everything from Celine to Christian Dior.

However, for her most recent appearance, the singer-songwriter turned to a label from the region for a statement look. The A Star is Born actress donned an ultra-glamorous, sheer gown by Emirati designer Ahmed Alkhyeli, who's behind eponymous brand Khyeli, for a segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The floor-sweeping number was plucked from the London-based label's spring / summer 2019 collection, and featured an incorporated bodysuit and shimmering embellishments scattered throughout the delicate design.

Gaga accessorised with Giuseppe Zanotti boots, a Givenchy bag ... and her Oscar, which she brought to the talk show. The Bad Romance singer opened up about her Academy Award win during the show, revealing her "whole artistic journey flashed before my eyes" when Shallow was announced as Best Original Song.

“I instantly saw myself sitting on my stoop of my studio apartment in New York City on the concrete with my keyboard next to me, trying to figure out how I was going to lug my keyboard again up my walk-up,” she said.

“It’s incredible. This was hard work. And I said it in my speech, and I’ll say it again: ‘If you work hard and you don’t give up, you can do anything.'”

Gaga also touched on her much-talked-about live performance with co-star and A Star is Born director Bradley Cooper, after Kimmel commented on their "connection".

“First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet," replied the actress, rolling her eyes. "And what it has done to pop culture is abysmal. And people saw love, and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see. This is a love song, Shallow. The movie A Star Is Born, it’s a love story. We worked so hard, we worked all week on that performance.”
