• Cycling is one of Saudi Arabia's fasting growing women's sports. Since 2013, when the kingdom permitted women and girls to ride, cycling has become a part of the national health regime and a contributor to the country's Vision 2030 health goals. In 2017, dozens of women took part in a 10-kilometre race in the Red Sea City of Jeddah to celebrate World Health Day. In 2019, the Brave cyclist team was formed with the goal of normalising the sport for women. This year, it organised a tour ahead of International Women's Day on Monday.
