Francesco Russo comes to net-a-porter

Fans of Italian shoe master Francesco Russo, let your fingers do the walking to net-a-porter.com this festive season.

From Friday December 18, five designs from Russo’s eponymous label will be available online at the luxury retailer. The designer drew inspiration from Chinese lacquer, incorporated animal prints and pelts into the capsule collection for SS16.

“Launching on net-a-porter.com and designing this exclusive collection was an extremely exciting project,” said Russo. “Each pair was designed using contrasting materials; patent calf and leopard print pony skin, giving my classic styles a rebellious edge.”

“We are so excited to be working with Francesco Russo,” added Ida Petersson, senior buyer for shoes at the site. “He is a rare talent whose designs transcend beyond a particular season; they feel relevant and timeless, making every pair an investment.”
