The spring/summer 2016 collection from Emirati fashion label, Twisted Roots, is currently on display at Spontiphoria, the shabby chic-themed boutique and cafe located at Dubai's Wasl Square.
Titled “Green Tea,” it’s the label’s second collection, and comprises stylish, comfortable clothing with a modest and contemporary flair. The range of knit tops, cotton blouses, fitted trousers and longline tunics make for great travel wear, and are especially practical for the upcoming Ramadan season. Herbal green, ming blue and rustic brown are key colours of the China-inspired collection.
The pop-up at Spontiphoria is part of the boutique’s annual April Small Business Month. Founder, buyer and talented baker behind Spontiphoria, Sidiqa Sohail, highlights the importance of giving UAE-based emerging brands a space to showcase their work. “We do this not only as a chance for the business owners to stock in a boutique, but also to promote the importance of supporting small businesses and for customers to get the chance to have an increased scope of buying local,” she says.
Shop Twisted Roots, among other locally-based fashion, children’s wear and accessories brands (like Hebr Stationary, Design Tuk Tuk, Desert Roses, Dohara and Shoeq to name just a few) at Spontiphoria throughout the month of April.
