RAS AL KHAIMAH // A project has been launched in Ras Al Khaimah to upgrade Al Qawasim Corniche with four and half kilometres of footpaths and cycle lanes.
The announcement was made by the Department of Public Works and Services as part of the second phase of the corniche upgrade, in collaboration with the RAK Tourism Authority.
Ahmed Al Hammadi, head of the Department of Public Works and Services, said that the new plan includes the maintenance of pathways, the installation of new ceramics and the creation of bikeways and running routes
Mr Al Hammadi said the improvements aim to provide a suitable sport and health environment for the public on the Corniche and will improve the Corniche’s aesthetic appeal.
