ABU DHABI // Ever wonder what it would be like to be a Ferrari test driver?

The new, heart-pounding roller coaster scheduled to open at the end of March at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will let you experience just that.

Turbo Track, which rises to 64 metres above Yas Island, will turn riders into new recruits. They will undergo onscreen training and performance analysis before boarding the roller coaster, which will reach a speed of 102 kilometres an hour before zero gravity is experienced as it plummets vertically back down.

Turbo Track can also be ridden backwards, because it includes front-facing and rear-facing seats.

“At Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, we’re passionate about creating thrilling and inspiring experiences, and we can’t wait to share this incredible new experience with our guests,” said general manager Jesse Vargas.

“Not only does this unique ride offer heart-pounding thrills for all riders, it also gives them the chance to see the world through the eyes of a Ferrari test driver, creating once again a strong connection with the legendary brand.

“This exceptional ride is going to be another first, and I am sure that our guests, young and old, will be excited to try Turbo Track – if they dare.”

Turbo Track will be the third ride to be launched at the park in the space of 12 months, after the opening of Flying Aces and Benno’s Great Race last year.
