SHARJAH // The Arabian Wildlife Centre in Sharjah is highlighting its broad range of local flora and fauna.
The centre, which was established in 1999, is home to a variety of species of animal and serves many of the UAE’s educational institutions. The centre aims to educate the young generation on the country’s biodiversity.
The centre has the world’s largest collection of species found in the Arabian Peninsula and it is also the only zoological park in the Middle East to be completely indoors.
Some of the rare animals at the centre include the Arabian leopard and the Arabian Tahr.
