Indian cities are Asian property bargain of 2017

A survey has ranked Bangalore and Mumbai (pictured) as the region’s top picks, vaulting both cities to lead a table of 22 Asian markets. Commercial property is key. The survey, compiled by the Urban Land Institute with input from PricewaterhouseCoopers, cited a boom in business process outsourcing and IT firms that are driving demand for new office space.

Car insurance Over two-thirds (69.7 per cent) of UAE drivers prefer to purchase the best car insurance coverage, rather than the cheapest, according to a survey released this week by the financial comparison website compareit4me.com. Just a quarter said that they actively searched for the cheapest coverage, while 6 per cent said they were indifferent to the type of coverage they received, so long as their car was covered.

Higher UK inflation forecast

Public expectations for inflation in Britain in one year’s time have risen at their sharpest rate in more than five years following the sharp fall in sterling since June’s Brexit vote, a quarterly survey published by Barclays showed on Monday. Barclays said expectations for inflation in one year’s time rose to 2.2 per cent in its latest survey conducted this month, up from 1.7 per cent in the previous survey three months earlier.
