Emirati women researchers and entrepreneurs recognised for contribution to development of knowledge-led economy

Chartered Institute for IT organised the conference in the capital

A global IT institute that helps to enhance ties between British and UAE technical institutions has recognised several leading Emirati female academics and entrepreneurs for their contributions to developing a knowledge-led economy in the Emirates. 
During the Chartered Institute for IT (BCS) ICT Conference  in Abu Dhabi last week, attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, Minister of Tolerance, "winning students of [an] ICT Research Competition organised in partnership with Middlesex University Dubai were rewarded for their smart applications and scientific research", according to Adel Al Hashmi, the conference chair.

The event's theme was “Tolerance, Sustainability & Women Empowerment”.

Patrick Moody, the UK ambassador, was also in attendance.
