Noura Al Kaabi, a member of the UAE's Federal National Council, has been named as the new chief executive of twofour54, the Abu Dhabi media zone.
Ms Al Kaabi will replace Tony Orsten, who will stay on as a board member of twofour54 in an advisory role.
It is understood that Ms Al Kaabi will take over as chief executive in three months' time.
She is currently responsible for the human development department at twofour54, as well as heading Tawasol, its business development arm.
A spokesman for twofour54 declined to comment.
Ms Al Kaabi is also a board member of Abu Dhabi Media, which owns and publishes The National.
