A joint venture between Emaar Properties and the Armani Group is to open its second hotel under the Armani brand in Milan on November 10.
The Armani Hotel Milan, located in the Quadrilatero della Moda, will offer 95 guest rooms billed as the largest rooms in the city.
The first project for Armani Hotels & Resorts, an affiliate formed by Emaar and Armani in 2005, was the Armani Hotel Dubai, a 160-room hotel in the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. The Armani Hotel, which opened last year, occupies the concourse to eighth floors, and the 38th and 39th floors of the tower.
The agreement between the fashion brand and the Dubai developer calls for the new entity to develop, own and operate resorts and residential complexes in "the world's most important cities and holiday destinations".
Last year, Armani Hotels announced plans to build projects in Marrakech and Marassi, Egypt. The company also identified New York, Tokyo, Shanghai and London as potential markets.
In addition to Armani-branded spas, stores and restaurants, Armani hotels will offer each guest a designated "lifestyle manager" to handle every aspect of his or her stay.
