A subsidiary of Dubai’s Drake & Scull International has won a Dh198 million engineering contract in the emirate, the parent firm said on Wednesday.
Drake & Scull Engineering will provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing services for an under-construction hotel and apartment complex, according to a statement to Dubai’s bourse.
“The package forms a significant part of the iconic project conceived as a mixed-used development which embraces the unique aspects of its prestigious location,” the statement said.
“Construction work on the hotel complex has commenced and completion is targeted for 2017.”
The development consists of five buildings between 15 and 19 floors, featuring a hotel, serviced apartments, a ballroom, cafe, and a marina including five bridges.
The precise location of the project was not stated.
