You might say it’s a golden age for smartphones - certainly in the Middle East where mobile penetration has increased rapidly in the past few years.
And, as smartphone makers jostle amid high competition, they have literally turned part of the market gold.
Following on from the likes of gold Apple iPhones, Microsoft has unveiled special gold editions of its Lumia 830 and 930 devices in the UAE.
While the Lumia 830 will be priced at Dh1,349, the Lumia 930 will be priced at Dh1,799. Both will be available in Axiom stores across the UAE, starting this week.
“The shades of gold have always been revered as a symbol of luxury especially in the Middle East region,” said Jon French, vice president Middle East, Microsoft Mobile Devices.
“We are excited to bring exclusive editions of flagship Lumia devices that tap into the pulse points of the regional lifestyle community.”
