Google launches smartphone and other hardware – in pictures

Google has, it hopes wowed, the world unveiling new smartphones, an internet-connected speaker that works with a digital assistant and other gadgets the US company hopes to make indispensable.

The devices are part of the internet juggernaut’s strong push to design and sell its own hardware, instead of just supplying Android and other software for other companies to make products.
