Etihad Airways will add its third daily flight to Mumbai and New Delhi in India during the first half of next year from double-daily frequencies.
That will expand its network along with Jet Airways from Abu Dhabi to 217 weekly flights across 14 destinations in India.
Etihad will operate its new long-range, wide-body Boeing 787-9 on Mumbai evening services from January.
Etihad’s first Boeing 787-9 will be delivered in December, and will initially fly to Dusseldorf and Doha.
In the first half, more than 620,000 passengers, a rise of 51 per cent year-on-year, used Etihad’s India services.
