A giant transforming auto-robot, the world’s fastest street legal motorbike and a single-engine jet are among the gadgets on show in Abu Dhabi this week.
The four-day Big Boys Toys innovations and technology expo at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec) will feature 21 product launches among the 200 products on display, with a combined value of more than US$200 million.
According to Atif Malik, the exhibition director, organisers expect a 25 per cent increase in attendees from last year, to more than 20,000.
“We are on course to break all records with our offering this year. We have twice as many exhibitors as last year and more than double the space to accommodate so much more for attendees,” he said.
“Most importantly, this year we are catering better for all the family, with the new art and fashion sections and the hourly performances of [BMW’s] impressive car-to-robot [transformer], Letrons, which will be a huge draw. ”
Mr Malik also explained that this year, there will be more vehicles at the Supercar Test Drive Pit, which will provide bolder visitors with the chance to drive some of the most powerful cars in the world.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy enhanced interactive experiences, such as virtual reality, simulators, reality games and shooting experiences.
