When the likes of will.i.am and Kelly Rowland are seen sporting your product, you know you’ve made it to a new level of cool. And the Italian brand Cor Sine Labe Doli is the very essence of cool. Its signature ceramic papillons (or bow ties, if you prefer) have caught the eye of many a stylish celeb – and rightfully so.
The company handcrafts both the ceramic bow and the ribbon, which are painstakingly sewn by Italian tailors, and prides itself on reiterating the importance of the eccentric but elegant papillon in men’s – and women’s – fashion.
And who can deny that these pieces of iconography are the very height of chic?
The Grigio Lucido or Grey Porcelain Bow, pictured here, retails at Dh600 and is part of the Primo line, one of the company’s classic styles. Bow ties – in grey, shiny white, gold, black silk and a floral print – along with other accessories by Cor Sine Labe Doli such as the Platino Handkerchief (Dh736), are available on TheExposedHouse.com, a quirky online-shopping site based in Abu Dhabi.
Selling to the UAE and GCC, the boutique website was founded by the Al Omaira siblings, and offers everything from shoes to stationery. The site is constantly on the lookout for new local, regional and international talent, and currently stocks a number of luxury designers, including Christian Lacroix and Urania Gazelli. The latter’s limited-edition King of Spades box clutch – there are only 33 pieces in existence – is made out of Plexiglas and gold, and is another of the site’s standout pieces.
