The hot list: Key trend of metallic accents

Metallic accents in a range of hues are a key trend for 2015. Here are some of our favourites.

1 Get the London smell

We can’t get enough of Tom Dixon’s signature scents, which come in candle and diffuser form. We’re particularly coveting the London Diffuser, which sees a bundle of black rattan reeds contained within a smooth copper-and-glass vessel. The scent is designed to capture the essence of London, with “the smell of red brick and London parks with crocuses and nettles, and the salty smell of the Thames at Dagenham”.

2 Round and round

A barely there metal ribbon circles in on itself to create the Round lamp from Al Huzaifa Furniture. The sweeping lines and pared-back design make for a simple but striking piece.

3 We’re a fan

The Huntington Cabinet takes its inspiration from a Chinese wedding cabinet, but is given a contemporary feel with fan-shaped, art-deco-inspired patterning and a gold finish. It’s a stunning statement piece for any room in your home.

4 Behind the mask

These bright gold masks will make for an intriguing wall feature. The robotic-looking faces will add a futuristic feel to your space, while light will reflect beautifully off the angular planes.

5 Light up your space

This lantern from Zara Home will look great whether you choose to place it in your home or in your garden. We love the aged bronze finish and industrial-style detailing.
