For the past six years The Fridge has offered a much-needed performance platform for music creative acts. The Dubai arts hub now marks a mighty milestone to celebrate the hundredth edition of its Fridge Concert Series.

The concept was born in 2009 as a way to showcase artists’s original material in an intimate, appreciative setting. After several successful seasons, the series took a bit of a hiatus, only to make a welcome return this month.

Tonight’s 100th concert, hosted on Monday October 26 at The Fridge’s base in Al Serkal Avenue, Al Quoz, features a typically forward-thinking bill.

Headlining are promising indie-electro outfit Muhaisnah Four, who recently brought their brand of psych-influenced soundscapes to support Dâm-Funk at Dubai’s Music Room.

Also performing is a collaboration between electronic talents Aaron Kim and Fidgit, and another duo pairing a sea board with live beatboxing, Rami Kayyali featuring Beatbox Ray.

The season closes next week with an EP launch party from David Beats Goliath.

Showtime is 7pm. Entry Dh50, www.thefridgedubai.com.
