The world’s first Softair Battle Zone officially launches this week at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi. The perfect locale for adrenaline junkies wanting the ultimate in warfare action games, it features a large battleground, a tactical store selling Airsoft weapons and accessories — and there’s even a cafe, appropriately named Kalashnikov Cafe — after Lt. Gn. Mikhail Kalashnikov, the Russian general who developed the AK-47 assault rifle.
Spearheaded by Tasleeh Entertainment, the Battle Zone offers a static shooting range, a dynamic shooting course and close quarter group battle for ages 14 and up. The Tasleeh Tactical Store will stock battle gear and accessories such as military outfits, protective gear and weapon replicas. The Kalashikov cafe will have an extensive menu to fill your belly after the battle.
As part of the official launch, the Battle Zone is hosting the UAE's first Ramadan Airsoft Shooting Competition. Registration fee is Dh200, which includes a training period from June 18 — June 30. The shooting range speed competition will be held from July 1 — 3; the course speed competition will be held from July 4 — July 6; and the Battlezone course competition will be held July 7. Registration will close June 28. For more information on the Battle Zone and the competition, visit www.tasleehentertainment.com
The Softair Battle Zone is on level one of the Yas Mall, near Home Centre.
