US hip-hop talent Talib Kweli is to DJ the launch of a new club night in the UAE. The former Mos Def collaborator will be behind the decks at The Act Dubai on Thursday (February 25).
The booking marks the launch of a new clubbing concept aimed “specifically for the swaggiest of swag”.
Dubbed Dubai with Attitude, the new night aims to channel the outrageous and “ultra glam” vibe of a Grammy after-party, running until 3am, but begins at a serene 8.30pm with a Peruvian dinner.
Kweli found early fame collaborating with Yasiin Bey, the artist formally known as Mos Def, forming the group Black Star, before striking out with a solo career which has included collaborations with Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.
