“Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called ‘The Endless River,” tweeted @PollySamson, the wife of David Gilmour- guitarist and vocalist of Pink Floyd -recently. This will be the English rock band’s first album in 20 years and comes at the back of sessions they recorded in 1994 when they released their last album The Division Bell.
Polly Samson, who also mentions she is the lyricist for this album on Twitter, added that it will include the work of late keyboardist Richard Wright, calling it his “swansong and very beautiful.”
Durga McBroom-Hudson, the vocalist who has toured with Pink Floyd, revealed in Facebook posts that the album was intended to be a complete instrumental recording but Gilmour decided to record more singing to the compilation.
The band, which was formed in 1965 achieved commercial success, with more than 250 millions records sold worldwide. They were ranked 52 on Rolling Stone’s list of “The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.”
