The Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is returning to his spiritual home — behind the drum kit — for a guest appearance on ABC's rebooted The Muppets. The former Nirvana and Queens of the Stone Age drummer may currently be best-known for his guitar-slinging antics, but he's heading back to the drum stool for a promised 'drum off' with legendary Muppet drummer Animal in the show, which will air in the US on December 1.
The episode will also feature Joseph Gordon-Levett duetting with Miss Piggy. Grohl is no stranger to The Muppet Show stage. In 2011, he had a cameo in the feature film The Muppets, playing Animal's equivalent in Muppets tribute band The Moopets.
