Jennifer Lopez says she is no longer concerned about album sales. The pop-star and American Idol judge, who sold over 55 million albums, said she is mostly focused on keeping her fan-base satisfied as opposed to achieving anymore blockbuster sales.
“Even though my last album (2013’s A. K. A) sold well and people love the songs, I got to a different point in my career where it doesn’t really matter whether it sells well or not,” she said from Morocco’s Mawazine Festival. “It is always about expressing myself and putting things out there and showing my fans where I am as an artist in my life. Now some of those albums can rocket to the moon while others will just hang there as a statement as part of my legacy as an artist and I am OK with that.”
The muli-talented Lopez stated she loves singing, acting and dancing work equally. “What do they have to be separate? I love all of it,” she said. “When I am singing, I am acting and dancing. When I am acting, in my mind there is music. To me, it is all one thing. It’s all just me expressing myself.”
The Mawazine Festival runs until June 6.
