Take That’s remaining members, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, described Orange’s departure as a personal and professional loss. They said Orange’s belief in the band is what made them so successful.

A small-budget drama, Super Nani was scheduled to hit cinemas an October 24, but will now be released a week later. Super Naani stars Rekha, Sharman Joshi, and Anupam Kher.

“We have postponed our film and there are several reason behind this. One of the major reasons to push the film was that we want to avoid the clash with Shah Rukh Khan,” said Kumar.

Kristen Bell free from paparazzi during second pregnancy

Kristen Bell says she’s much more comfortable during her second pregnancy – not just because she has a better idea of what to expect, but because she’s no longer trailed by paparazzi.

The actress established the No Kids Policy earlier this year that saw stars unite to withhold interviews from outlets that published photos of celebrity children without parental permission. With a spate of A-list signees to the policy, entertainment news outlets quickly curbed their practice of showing such images.

“The response has been so overwhelming that it’s really almost a moral stance that the consumer demanded their publications take,” Bell said in an interview. “We’re all consuming healthier media now.”

She said fellow entertainers have also told her they’re not photographed as often while out with their children.

“I feel a lot safer because I’m not followed at all now,” Bell said. “It makes me feel like we all rallied and did something – the good people that were on the side of responsible parenting and passionate about child welfare spoke up and made a difference, and that is a really invigorating feeling.”

The 34-year-old Frozen star said she's also feeling good because of her eco-friendly lifestyle, which she discussed on Tuesday at an event to promote Neutrogena Naturals. She said the brand "is completely in line with everything I believe in" and "brings the idea of green living to an everyday consumer". – AP

Brigitte Bardot turns 80

Brigitte Bardot, who mamboed her way to fame, turns 80 on Sunday, September 28.

Half a century on, the big wispy hair and hourglass silhouette immortalised by the 1950s actress still inspire designers the world over, though the real-life Bardot has long abandoned the limelight in favour of animal rights activism.

“She was an idol for a generation of women,” said Marie-Dominique Lelievre, author of a recent biography on “BB”, as Bardot became known.

“She was monstrously famous, and the myth only grew bigger since she ended her career before she was even 40.”

In 1956, Bardot set the screen alight in And God Created Woman, shot by her then husband Roger Vadim and the best-known of the 50-odd movies – many of them flops – of her short career.

The classic scene in which she dances an impassioned Mambo in a flowing skirt slit to the waist brought onto the big screen a new level of unbridled sexual energy – and quickly earned the wrath of US censors.

For defenders of the strict morals of the 1950s, Bardot, with her babydoll face, pouty lips, hourglass figure and liberated attitude, was a threat.

“A girl of her time, free of any sense of guilt, of any social taboo,” was how Vadim described her. – AFP
