IMAX laser technology coming to Dubai

Novo Cinemas has announced it is to bring two new IMAX cinemas featuring the very latest IMAX laser production technology to its portfolio of cinemas in the Middle East.

The two new cinemas will be at the IMG World of Adventure theme park, which is scheduled to open later this year, and Wafi Mall, and are in addition Novo’s three existing IMAX cinemas in Dubai, Bahrain and Doha, and a further planned one in Dubai Festival City.

The IMAX laser technology promises even greater image clarity than existing IMAX systems and improved audio, too. IMAX president Andrew Cripps said: “We are delighted to build upon our decade-long partnership [with Gulf Film/Novo cinemas]. We look forward to delivering movie goers in the region a unique and unmatched cinema experience.”
