The cast and crew of the upcoming Bollywood movie Darmiyaan descended on the public beach near Dubai's Burj Al Arab on Tuesday to film a dance sequence.
Darmiyaan sees the debut of television actors Samar Vermani and Vibhav Roy, who star alongside Ishita Dutta, last seen in 2015's blockbuster Drishyam, featuring Ajay Devgn.
Darmiyaan, which also features veteran actor Om Puri, is set in Dubai, and will be filming around the city until Saturday, March 19, with indoor scenes expected be shot in Mumbai after the UAE leg.
Sunbathers were surprised to see cameras, crew, a large sound system and dozens of extras dancing on the sand. Dutta later told The National she wasn't actually in the day's shoot, but had come down anyway due to the great atmosphere on set.
Over the next few days, filming will take place at Burj Khalifa, Dubai Garden Glow and The Dubai Fountain, among other locations.
Darmiyaan is directed by Manav Bhalla, with Icon Art Productions acting as the local arm. The music is by Sana Mehboob, from the Oscar-winning music director A R Rahman's team.
