The forthcoming film adaption of Mohsin Hamid's bestselling book The Reluctant Fundamentalist has been named as the second major international production to receive funding from the Doha Film Institute. And there's one name that crops up for a second time.
He might not be filming in Doha this time around (like
Black Gold
), but it does seem that Riz is becoming the name of choice for DFI-funded projects. Sadly it's unlikely we'll ever get to see anything like his performance in the hilarious
Four Lions
coming from the region just yet...
And, as I discovered on the
Black Gold
set in Doha, shouting out
Four Lions
quotes is not the best way to get his attention.
