Djinn crosses Dh1 million at box office

The opening weekend box-office takings for the supernatural thriller Djinn broke the Dh1 million barrier, Image Nation announced. The movie, about an Emirati couple who move into a haunted apartment block in Ras Al Khaimah, was released on October 31 across the UAE. A street named after A?R Rahman in Canada
The Oscar-winning music composer A?R Rahman has had a street named after him in Markham, Ontario, Canada. The composer posted a picture on Facebook holding a signboard that reads "Allah-Rakha Rahman Street". A?R Rahman also tweeted "Welcome to my street! (In Markham, ON, Canada)." Chicago musical on its way to Dubai
The Broadway musical Chicago will soon be coming to Dubai. The longest-running musical in Broadway history will be presented live at the Dubai World Trade Centre between December 19 and January 3, with 20 shows planned. Chicago (originally directed by Bob Fosse) is directed by Walter Bobbie, with music by John Kander and Fred Ebb and choreography by Ann Reinking. Tickets start from Dh245. Kareena Kapoor approached for Sahir Ludhianvi biopic
The actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is in talks to star opposite Farhan Akhtar in a biopic about the Indian poet and lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi.
