Colors TV launches new fashion series
The Indian network Colors TV is launching its UAE-based programme The Uma Show, which will be presented by Uma Ghosh Deshpande. Debuting on Saturday at 7pm, the series targets South Asian expats in the region and will showcase the latest fashion and trends sweeping the Gulf, with interviews and interactive segments. "We not only want to bring the latest trends to audiences but also keep it interactive," Deshpande said in a statement. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone reunite on screen
Ranbir Kapoor has revealed he has no qualms about starring in a film with his former girlfriend Deepika Padukone. The two are currently filming Ayan Mukerji's new film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, where they play the lead roles. "Deepika and I have moved on as individuals and as actors," said Kapoor, 30. "When you come across someone who is as motivated as you are, the experience of working together is terrific. I share a deep comfort level with her and I don't feel awkward with her. Shruti Haasan announces new film
The actress Shruti Haasan has signed on to headline a yet-to-be-titled project opposite the actor Allu Arjun. "I'm happy to say that I'm a part of another Telugu project starring Allu Arjun. To be directed by Surendar Reddy! Really looking forward," Haasan posted on Twitter. The 27-year-old star has just finished shooting two films, Prabhu Deva's Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya and Nikhil Advani's D-Day. "2013 has been a super special year for me!" Haasan added. – IANS
Prem Raj: Preity still on for Ishkq in Paris
The director Prem Raj has denied rumours that the actress Preity Zinta has backed out of his forthcoming film Ishkq in Parisbecause of multiple production problems and scheduling conflicts. "That is so hurtful, mean and damaging," Raj told reporters. "Ishkq in Paris is as much Preity's baby as mine. She is very much in touch with me." The movie, which is co-produced by Zinta, was initially scheduled for release in September but filming came to a halt when Raj fell ill. Raj says the production is back on track and that the film will be ready in a few months. "Preity is working on the film's exact release date. I think, most probably, it's going to release in May," said the director. – IANS
