The British godfather of tech-house, Carl Cox, is heading to Dubai to play Live@Atlantis on March 21. The world-renowned DJ and producer hasn't played in Dubai for seven years, and promoters say the 51-year-old has agreed to return for this one-off gig at Atlantis Beach only.
Cox has remixed tracks for the likes of Moby and Eric Powell and had a 12-year residency at Space. One of the most respected DJs in the world, Cox had several singles in the UK charts, such as 1991's I Want You (Forever) and 1995's Two Paintings and a Drum, but he successfully stayed away from the mainstream, moving into more hardcore jungle and techno.
Supporting DJs are to be announced. Carl Cox plays Live@Atlantis from 6pm to 3am, Friday, March 21, tickets are Dh200 and Dh400 for VIP.
