A Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play is set to open in Dubai on Thursday.

The local production of Doubt — A Parable, a 2004 play by John Patrick Shanley, will be performed at the Dubai Community Theatre & Art Centre (Ductac) in Mall of The Emirates from Thursday to Sunday with both evening and matinée performances.

Set in the New York borough of the Bronx, the plot follows a nun who begins to suspect a priest’s intentions when it comes to the care of a student.

The explosive morality tale follows different view points and has been described as similar to Reginald Rose's 12 Angry Men.

Show times are at 7.30pm on Thursday and Friday. A matinée show will be held on Saturday at 2.30pm before the final performance at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost Dh100 from www.timeouttickets.com. or call 04 341 4777.
