Assassin's Creed Syndicate, the ninth game in Ubisoft's hugely successful action-adventure game series, will be fully localised for the Arab market when it is released on October 23.
Ubisoft promise full Arabic translations, voice acting, subtitles and a localised user interface and menu screens.
To celebrate the news – and just days after showing off the game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) trade fair in Los Angeles – the developer is holding an exclusive first-look event for the Arabic version at the Golden Hall cyber cafe in Oud Metha, Dubai, on Friday, June 19, from 6pm until 2am.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate is set in 19th-century, Industrial Revolution-era London, where the oppressed proletariat have formed rival gangs to to secure their survival – providing plenty of opportunities for archenemies the Assassins and the Templars to continue their age-old struggle.
Players will control brother and sister Jacob and Evie, both assassins raised in the way of the creed, and get to explore the largest, most modern open-world city yet created for an Assassin's Creed game – previous locations have included the Middle East during the crusades, Renaissance-era Rome, Florence and Venice, and Revolution-era New York and Boston.
The fighting system in Syndicate promises to be more brutal than ever, as players battle rival gangs and grow their sphere of influence throughout London using new weapons, including brass knuckles, a kukri knife, revolver and, of course, the trademark assassin's gauntlets, with their hidden, retractable blades.
Players will also have a rope launcher, to help scale tall Victorian buildings, zip-line from rooftop to rooftop and performing aerial assassinations, plus horse-drawn carriages and high-speed trains to help track down enemies and escape after daring raids.
