All sewn up: Dubai embroidery classes

Marking her second visit from France to the UAE, haute couture embroiderer Elisabeth Roulleau will be holding workshops in Dubai from May 17-20.

The professional seamstress, who counts Dior and Chanel among her past clients, will be imparting wisdom to beginners and enthusiasts alike at the Sofitel hotel in Dubai.

1. Traditional embroidery workshop: perles et paillettes (beads and sequins)

Date: May 17, 10am - 5pm

Cost: Dh450 (embroidery kit included)

2. Haute couture workshop

Dates: May 18 & May 20 May 10am - 5pm

Cost: Dh1100 AED per day (embroidery kit included)

Location: Workshops will be held at the Plantation Lounge, Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach Residence.
