A great time for the family at Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival

The Rolling Stones may have left but, thanks to the Disney Live! Mickey's Music Festival that begins tomorrow, Yas Island will continue to thump to music, albeit of a different kind. We caught up with two princesses to find out what the show is like behind the scenes

Brittany Eubanks on playing Ariel
I was so excited when I was asked to portray the role of Ariel from The Little Mermaid. I immediately watched the movie and watching it brought back many memories from my childhood. I studied all of her movements to make sure I could help bring the most magic to the stage for everyone to enjoy.

A family affair
On tour you become a tight-knit family. There is a bond made that is much different from a typical work environment where you only see your co-workers during work hours. We live together and get to celebrate birthdays, holidays and other occasions with each other.

Magill Thomas on playing Princess Jasmine
I do think all the cast are young at heart. Disney appeals to all ages, but I think our love for performing keeps us young. You can see how much fun we're having onstage in this very high-energy show. Offstage is a blast as well. There's never a dull moment. We all love to laugh.

Interaction is key
The performers love it when the crowd gets involved. During certain parts of the show, characters ask the audience questions, so everyone can join in.
