See three free films as part of Take 21. Ahead of COP21, the global-environment summit in Paris in December, Alliance Française Dubai presents its monthly programming under the theme of climate change. Today's films include the carbon-offset Yann Arthus-Bertrand documentaries Home, which uses aerial-only film, and Human (pictured), which focuses on the meaning of our existence, as well as the animated film, Raining Cats and Frogs, about a catastrophic flood that forces animals and humans to learn to live together. Get tickets to attend the Sinatra Centenary Celebrations. In advance of what would have been Frank Sinatra's 100th birthday on December 12, enjoy the evening dedicated to the singer's tunes, embellished with Las Vegas-style entertainment of a live band and dancers, starring the British swing and jazz star Matthew vanKan (pictured). Make plans to attend the International Children's Day festivities at three Petit Bateau locations, with activities including sand art, T-shirt painting and a Spin-to-Win wheel of fortune. Volunteer to be one of 44 people from 44 nations to take part in the #44for44 challenge at Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort in honour of the UAE's 44th National Day celebrations. The treadmill relay walk will see participants taking turns over a 44-hour period, each walking for one hour.
