1950s singer Jerry Vale dies at 83

The popular 1950s singer Jerry Vale has died at his California home. He was 83. A family lawyer says Vale died on Sunday morning. Harold Levy said Vale had been in declining health. Born Genaro Louis Vitaliano, Vale started performing in New York supper clubs as a teenager and went on to record more than 50 albums. He was known for his high tenor voice and romantic songs, including his signature tune Al Di La. His recording of The Star-Spangled Banner in the 1960s was played at sporting events for years. He also appeared as himself in the movies Goodfellas, Casino and the TV series The Sopranos. Vale is survived by his wife of 55 years, a son and a daughter. – AP

Sunny Leone to make Telugu film debut

The Indo-Canadian actress Sunny Leone will make her debut in the Telugu film industry with 24 Frames Factory's Current Teega. The drama is directed by G Nageswara Reddy and will co-star Manchu Manoj and Rakul Preet. Sunny Leone made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with Jism 2. Current Teega is due out next year. – IANS

Beyoncé and Jay Z unveil fake movie trailer

Beyoncé and Jay Z have unveiled a fake movie trailer to promote their Run tour that kicks off in Florida on June 25. The Bonnie and Clyde-themed video – three-and-a-half minute longs and featuring guns, explosions and chases – is studded with Hollywood stars. Making appearances are Jake Gyllenhaal, Don Cheadle, Blake Lively, Emmy Rossum, Sean Penn, Guillermo Diaz and Rashida and Kidada Jones. Check it out on YouTube.
