Catch the opening day of Abu Dhabi Art, where leading local and international artists, galleries, art historians, curators, museum directors and collectors engage in a diverse range of discussions and events that celebrate the cultural diversity of the UAE and the region. Today catch the talk A Curatorial Vision at 2pm, as well as tours and workshops from 2pm to 9pm, and a calligraphy performance (pictured) at 6.30pm.

Get ticket for today’s performance of Holoscenes at NYU Abu Dhabi. Lars Jan presents a large-scale performance installation that embodies the trauma of flooding. Held in an aquarium that floods, drains and floods again and inhabited by a rotating cast of performers conducting everyday activities, the project focuses on our troubled relationship with water in the 21st century as it connects everyday actions with global climate change.
