Catch a screening of the film Django as part of Diff 365@Vox. The film, directed by Étienne Comar, is about the French jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt and opened the Berlin Film Festival this year. Set in 1943, Reda Kateb plays the title role, portraying the Romany guitarist and composer who brought German-occupied Paris to life with gipsy swing music, and who remains untouched because of his popularity, until one day when he has to choose between his art and protecting his family. The film is in French with English and Arabic subtitles.
