As people go into self-isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic globally, some celebrities have found themselves outside of their home countries.

However, they aren't just staying home in far-flung destinations around the world. Here are five celebrities who have remained Dubai:

Wissam Breidy

Lebanese TV host, Wissam Breidy has been living in Dubai for the past month. Four weeks ago, he posted a video on his Instagram account telling his fans that he and his wife, Tunisian actress Rym Saidi, have made "the most difficult decision" of their lives, for Breidy to stay in Dubai and not return to Lebanon in order to not to put the family at risk.

They have both been active on social media, even sharing Instagram live sessions with fans. They have two children together.

Maanayata Dutt

Actor Sanjay Dutt has been away from his wife Maanayata Dutt and his children since the lockdown was forced in India. "When the lockdown was announced, unfortunately, Maanayata and my children were already in Dubai.

"In the past, I have spent periods of my life in a lockdown. Back then and even now, the one thought that stays with me is the way I miss my family. For me, they are everything," Dutt told Times of India in a recent interview.

"Thanks to technology, I can see and talk to them multiple times in a day, and yet, I miss them terribly," he said.

Memphis Depay

The former Manchester United football star, who plays for Lyon in France, has been in Dubai for the past few months recovering from an injury. The Dutch footballer has been keeping busy during the global pandemic by releasing his own music, most recently a new single called Dubai Freestyle.

Sachiin J Joshi

The Indian actor and entrepreneur has been in Dubai for weeks now. Joshi has been active on social media sharing how he has been spending his time during quarantine. Joshi has also been posting about what his Big Brother Foundation has been doing in India, launching an initiative to distribute meals to support those on the front lines in the fight against Covid-19.
